Photography without flash is generally permitted in most areas of the Duomo complex, allowing visitors to capture its beauty while protecting delicate artworks from light damage. However, tripods, selfie sticks, and professional lighting equipment are strictly prohibited. In certain sacred spaces or temporary exhibitions, photography may be entirely restricted, remember to always follow staff instructions and posted signage.
For safety and conservation reasons, sharp objects, weapons, glass containers, aerosols, and any potentially hazardous materials are strictly forbidden inside the monuments. Food and drink, loudspeakers, and musical instruments are also not allowed, ensuring a quiet and respectful environment for all visitors. Bag checks are carried out at entrances, and prohibited items will need to be left outside or disposed of before entry.
